Wang Xing Trafficked, Sold Three Times Within Four Days

On the 7th, the news that 'Wang Xing was sold three times in just four days' attracted attention.

On the afternoon of the 7th, Wang Xing posted on Weibo:

I am sincerely grateful to our motherland. The strength of the country and the firm commitment of law enforcement agencies are our most solid foundation. I thank the police for their unremitting efforts.

Even though that period of experience was filled with hardships and torment, making that legal vacuum area visible to the public can ultimately bring peace to more people. Thus, those hardships are also a kind of fulfillment in their own way.

The legal net is vast and thorough; it catches everything. It is believed that under the judgment of the law, all criminals who commit atrocities will eventually be brought to justice.

Justice is always present; may everyone be safe and happy.

According to CCTV reports, the documentary "A Record of Success in Combating Fraud in Myanmar" jointly produced by the Ministry of Public Security and China Media Group was broadcast on CCTV's comprehensive channel at 18:00 from October 5th to 7th. The documentary comprehensively showcases the arduous journey and remarkable achievements of China's public security organs, working together with relevant departments to combat crimes related to Myanmar and targeting those involving China.

In early January 2025, the Shanghai police received a report from the public that someone had disappeared at the Thai-Myanmar border. The missing person was a young actor named Wang. At the end of 2024, Wang saw an announcement for a drama crew in a WeChat chat group. The person who posted the announcement used the name “Yan Shiliu”.

"Yan Si Shi Xiu" identifies himself as an assistant director of a certain film crew and is responsible for casting actors. This announcement caught Wang's attention.

According to the other party's request, after recording a performance video, Wang quickly received a confirmation notice from 'Yan Shiliu'. To further dispel Wang's doubts, the other party even purchased him a round-trip ticket from Shanghai to Bangkok in advance and reserved a local hotel for him.

On January 2, 2025, Wang took a flight from Shanghai Pudong Airport to Bangkok, Thailand. Upon landing at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Wang was picked up by a car arranged by “Yan Shiliu”. However, the driver did not take Wang to the hotel as scheduled but instead changed direction, driving towards Mae Sot District in Dat Province, in northern Thailand, under the pretext of changing hotels.

Near a supermarket, Wang was asked to transfer to another vehicle and continue driving towards the Myanmar-Thailand border. At this point, Wang had already realized the danger, so he secretly sent a message via WeChat to his girlfriend.

Shanghai Public Security Bureau Baoshan Branch Criminal Investigation Department Officer Zhang Lingjie: After Wang got into the car, two unidentified individuals held Wang inside the vehicle. Wang felt that the situation might not be as simple as he had imagined. According to the agreement, he sent a message saying "Have you fed the cat?"

This is a message with special significance, a distress signal agreed upon by Wang and his girlfriend before he set off.

The girlfriend who kept a close watch on Wang's movements quickly reported the situation to the police. Subsequently, Wang was taken captive by several armed men and smuggled from Thailand to Myanmar's Myawaddy, where she became completely missing. At that time, "Myawaddy" was not well-known to the public, but it was already listed on the maps marked by Chinese police as a high-risk area for fraud activities.

Chen Chen, Director of the Telecom and Internet Fraud Investigation Department of the Ministry of Public Security: In fact, Miaowaidi has been in our field of work since an early stage. We conducted special investigations and gathered information about Miaowaidi in 2023. However, Miaowaidi does not have direct borders with our country, making it very difficult to combat and manage such cases. After the incident involving actor Wang, it was as if the cover of Miaowaidi was lifted.

The secrets behind this well-laid scheme have been fully uncovered by the Chinese police, who have clearly sorted out the complex criminal chain involved.

Yuan Yi, a police officer from the Anti-Fraud and New-Type Crimes Brigade of the Jiangsu Provincial Public Security Department: We immediately discovered that Wang was being resold. The goods were transferred from the Apollo Park in Miaowadai to the Heyan Park next to Huanya Park, and finally to the Kaixuan Park in Miaowadai.

The Ministry of Public Security immediately activated an international law enforcement cooperation mechanism and contacted the police in Thailand and Myanmar to request assistance in verifying and carrying out the rescue operation. Soon, a joint rescue team found actor Wang. In just 4 days, he was sold three times.

Before losing any last hope, Wang also tried to save himself. He attempted to negotiate with the members of the human trafficking gang, hoping to exchange money for a chance to survive. However, the response he received was that in Miavadi, what they needed most was people, not money.

While making every effort to find Wang, the police are also advancing the investigation of the case. They have traced a criminal group that is hiding in Myawaddy, Myanmar and specializes in cross-border human trafficking. The Thai-Thailand police have joined forces to arrest 17 criminal suspects both domestically and abroad.

Immediately afterwards, "Yan Shiliu", who pretended to be an assistant director in the chat group and directly lured Wang Mou, was also arrested in Thailand.
