Russia Criticizes Frances Intercontinental Missile Test Launch

According to Russian News Agency reports, in response to France's successful test launch of a submarine-launched intercontinental missile, Russian President's Press Secretary Peskov said on the 7th local time that establishing a militarized concept in Europe based on confrontation with Russia would not lead to any good results.

Peskov said, “This is very bad, because their efforts to build a foundation for their identity in the fields of defense and security are based on confrontation. This is a dead end. History shows that such actions do not lead to any good results.”

He also pointed out that Russia is taking all necessary measures to ensure national security from a strategic perspective.

The report states that Russian President Putin has repeatedly stated that Russia has no intention of entering into conflicts with NATO. However, Western politicians often use the so-called "Russian threat theory" to intimidate the public, in order to divert public opinion from internal issues.
