North Korea Blames South Korea for Mine Explosion Near Border

According to North Korean sources on September 30th, Kim Jong-pil, a minister of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, stated in a speech on the 29th that a mine explosion occurred near the southern border recently, and the South Korean military used this as an opportunity to provoke North Korea again.

Kim and Park said that South Korea is trying to shift responsibility for the landmine explosion to the North Korean side, attempting to create "physical evidence" to prove this. This approach is completely absurd.

Kim & Gaye warned that the South Korean side will bear responsibility for its provocative actions.

According to a report cited by South Korean officials on the 21st, during operations in a non-military area on the South Korean side of the inter-Korean military demarcation line, the 25th Division of the South Korean Army experienced a suspected mine explosion. Three people were injured, two of whom suffered serious injuries. South Korean President Lee Jae-myung demanded that the military promptly uncover the truth, and stated that the government would take necessary measures based on the investigation results.
