According to Tass, on September 28 local time, the emergency department of Yaroslavl Oblast in Russia reported that a fire broke out at a fireworks factory near Pelyslavl-Zaletsky City, resulting in 14 deaths and one injury.
According to reports, two buildings within the fireworks factory complex caught fire. Over 100 firefighters and 40 fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the fire, and the flames have been contained.
Spokesperson said that fire may have been caused by violation of safety regulations. “We’re investigating other possible causes of the fire.”
According to reports from CCTV, Yaroslavl Governor Yevlevay announced that September 30 would be a day of mourning.
