According to a report by the Japanese Kyodo News on the 29th, the victims of the 'bus accident' were not just the Pakistani men's volleyball team.
The bus carrying the South Korean men’s volleyball team also mistakenly delivered them to a venue that was one hour away from the scheduled location. As a result, the South Korean volleyball team had to cancel the training scheduled for the morning of August 28th.
In a press conference on the 29th, the Olympic Games Organizing Committee apologized for the mistake.
Two teams' buses both went to the wrong destination, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to both teams. An official of the Asian Games Organizing Committee said so today to reporters. We regret the great inconvenience it has caused us, and the organizing committee takes it very seriously.
The spokesperson also attributed the incident to staff members who mistakenly guided passengers to the wrong platform.
Previously, the organizing committee of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games has publicly apologized several times.
On September 18th, on the eve of the Asian Games, before the match between the South Korean team and the Bangladesh team at the Kofu-ryo Stadium in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, the South Korean national anthem was supposed to be played. However, the North Korean national anthem was played instead.
