According to the Jerusalem Post, a diplomatic source confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed on September 27. The news was initially reported by Israel’s N12 news agency.
According to the Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu flew a private business jet to Abu Dhabi, using the same aircraft he used during his visit to the UAE this year amidst the war between the US, Israel, and Iran. He took off from Ben Gurion Airport in Israel shortly after 12 noon on the 27th local time, and arrived in Abu Dhabi at 3:10 PM. After staying in the UAE for four hours, the aircraft flew back to Israel at 7:10 PM.
Reuters also quoted a senior Israeli official as saying that Netanyahu visited Abu Dhabi on the 27th and met with the President of the UAE.
Inner Asia Office and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not immediately respond.
In May this year, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu confirmed that he had made a secret visit to the UAE during the large-scale military operations carried out by the US and Israel against Iran. The UAE Foreign Ministry issued a statement denying this claim.
Reuters pointed out that in the war between the United States and Iran, the UAE strengthened its relations with the United States and Israel after being attacked by Iran. Its relationship with Israel has given the UAE a foothold in regional influence and a unique channel to Washington.
