During the five Asian Games between 1998 and 2014, the Chinese badminton team achieved five consecutive championships in the women's team event. Subsequently, at the Jakarta Asian Games in 2018 and the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2022, the Japanese and Korean teams won the gold medals in this event respectively.
