Guided by the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, the two sides adhered to the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and cooperative win-win results. They engaged in honest, in-depth, and constructive discussions on issues of common concern, such as implementing the existing economic and trade consultation agreements, reciprocal tariff reduction arrangements, establishing a Trade Council and an Investment Council, and extending the joint economic and trade consultation arrangement in Kuala Lumpur.
