According to AFP, on September 21 local time, Stanisław Ficjatko, the Polish Deputy Minister of Defense, said in an interview with Polish media that Poland is seeking to expand the size of its US military presence, with the goal of deploying 15,000 US soldiers in stages.
Fitzjec said, “The ultimate goal we are discussing involves 15,000 soldiers.” Of this number, about 4,000 to 5,000 US soldiers will be stationed at permanent military bases, while 10,000 soldiers will be deployed on a rotational basis.
He revealed that there are currently 6,500 to 7,000 American soldiers deployed in Poland. The number of American troops stationed in Poland will be increased phase by phase, with the goal expected to be achieved by 2039.

Reports indicate that the United States has reduced its military presence in Europe, including the withdrawal of some US soldiers stationed in Poland, resulting in a decrease in the number of US troops there compared to May. The United States has initiated an evaluation of military deployments in Europe and America, and it is expected that this evaluation will be completed by the end of this year.

As the Russo-Ukrainian conflict enters its fifth year, Poland has increased its criticism of Russia.
