According to the Presidential Palace, the purpose of this call was “to listen to opinions from all parties regarding national governance and national unity,” and they stated that “the details of the call are not appropriate to be disclosed.”
It is reported that Moon Jae-in said during the call on that day that he carefully attended the press conference held by Lee Jae-myung on the 18th of this month.
Recently, President Lee Jae-myung has been facing a crisis during his tenure, with his approval ratings declining continuously. On the 18th, he apologized to the citizens regarding the current political situation.
Due to Lee Jae-myung's trip to the United States and Mexico on the 21st, taking advantage of his attendance at the United Nations General Assembly, it is speculated that the two may have exchanged views on issues such as North-South dialogue and the situation in the Korean Peninsula.
