A reporter asked that it was understood that China recently organized foreign media journalists to conduct interviews in the Jilong mudslide disaster area in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Could the spokesperson provide further information on this matter?
Mao Ning introduced that international media have paid close attention to the Jilong mudslide disaster and hope to enter the disaster area for interviews and reports. After days of emergency repairs, the roads in the disaster area were finally cleared. China invited eight foreign media journalists from CNN, Reuters, RT, The Today Show, and the Indian Press Trust to the core areas affected by the disaster, to understand the progress of disaster relief and recovery efforts. They also participated in a meeting between Chinese and foreign journalists held in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
"We believe everyone has seen the reports released by relevant media outlets. The Chinese side will continue to work tirelessly on rescue and post-disaster relief, and timely release updates on the disaster situation and rescue operations." Mao Ning said.
According to previous reports by CCTV News, from September 5th to 6th, the State Council Information Office, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized foreign media journalists to visit the disaster site of the debris flow in Jilong, Tibet. Media journalists from countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Brazil, etc. participated in the interviews. The journalist group went deep into the affected areas near Jilong Port and other frontlines of disaster relief efforts to understand the situation, rescue efforts, and progress in recovery and reconstruction.

On the afternoon of the 6th, overseas media journalists attended a meeting with Chinese and foreign media held by the Emergency Rescue Command Center for the "August 26" mudslide disaster in Jilong County, Tibet Autonomous Region. Officials from the Tibet Autonomous Region introduced the relevant situation and answered journalists' questions.
