According to Reuters report on September 4th, two sources familiar with the preparations said that China and the United States are preparing to discuss AI security risks during a dialogue scheduled for mid-September.

The report indicates that if this meeting actually takes place, it will be the first formal bilateral discussion between China and the United States dedicated to AI since President Trump took office for his second term. Sources familiar with the matter said that the US side will be led by US Treasury Secretary Steven Bisonet.
