French Motorcycle Rider Claims Pole Position at WorldSSP French Tour Race

According to CCTV news, on September 4th local time, the 2026 World Supermotorial Velocità Ciclistica French Tour took place on the Névetel-Manicouart circuit. In the WorldSSP Super Pole Position race held that day, Valentin De Biasi, a French rider from the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer "Zhang Xueqi Motorcycle", won the pole position. His teammate, Italian rider Federico Cardelliso, finished second.

After eight races, “Zhang Xue Ji” has achieved six victories and currently ranks third in the manufacturer standings. Debris ranks second in the WorldSSP rider standings.

According to Xinhua News Agency, this is the ninth race of the season, and also the first race after the summer break. Derbis will be playing at his home track. In 2023, he had two victories at Manikur, finishing third and second respectively. The second place was his best result in a WorldSSP race here so far.

In the qualifying session that day, Debris lost control of his car on Lap 15 due to a lack of grip. After returning to the pit area to fix his car, he re-entered the track and secured the pole position with a fastest lap time of 1 minute 39.585 seconds.

This is De Bi Shi's WorldSSP career's first pole position. He said after the race that due to a crash, he didn't complete too many laps, but he found a more suitable driving style after switching to new tires in the end and thus achieved the fastest lap time of the whole race.

Karikasuolo finished second with a time of 1 minute 39 seconds and 644 milliseconds. This is also his best position this season. Karikasuolo said that he hadn’t fully adapted to the car yet, but the team has done a lot of work during the summer break, and now the car better suits his driving style, allowing him to improve his speed further.

The two rounds of the French leg will take place at 14:00 on September 5th and 12:40 on September 6th, local time. The two “Zhang Xue locomotives” will start from the first row in the first round on the 5th.

Debris said that he and Karisakulo cooperated with each other during the qualifying races, and he was very happy to be tied for the top two places.
