According to Tass, on September 5th local time, Russian President Information Secretary Peskov stated that Russian President Putin gave instructions to cease all strikes against Kyiv for three consecutive days starting at midnight of that day.
Peskov stated that this move is in coordination with the work that will be carried out by American negotiators in Kyiv. Peskov also mentioned that Putin will meet with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner today.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that the Ukrainian armed forces announced a ceasefire from midnight on September 5 until September 8.
