Several Iranian media reports indicate that on the evening of September 1st local time, the US military launched attacks on several locations in Iran. During these attacks, missile fragments struck a residence where a wedding was taking place, resulting in 5 deaths and 50 injuries.
The U.S. Central Command stated that the U.S. military began attacking targets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps at 12:00 Eastern Time on that day, and completed the operation in the early hours of September 2nd.
According to Iranian official media reports, the attack affected Chabahar, Konarak regions, and an airport in Giroft. Explosions were also reported in the islands of Gushm and Bandar Abbas.
However, the Iranian Red Crescent said that the American attack resulted in the death of 5 people, including a young child, and approximately 50 people were injured, with 35 of them suffering serious injuries. At that time, fragments from an exploded American missile hit a house where a wedding was being held in the Sirak area of Hormozgan province in southern Iran.

Regarding this, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagheri condemned the United States for committing war crimes on September 2, and stated: "The list of crimes committed by the United States against Iran is now more complete than at any other time."
In response, according to local official media and the Jordanian armed forces, Iran launched attacks on US bases located in Iraq and Jordan. Other reports indicate that Kuwait and Bahrain were also targeted.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran said that the United States will 'regret' this air strike. According to the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim, in retaliation for the Sirak attack, Iran launched several ballistic missiles at a US Marine base in Aqaba, Jordan, in the early hours of September 3rd.
U.S. Navy Lieutenant Colonel Tim Hawkins, representing the Central Command, told BBC in an interview that the U.S. is aware of reports by Iranian state media regarding the Zircon attack incident. He stated: "The U.S. military never targets civilians and this is different from the Revolutionary Guards."
In fact, this is not the first time that the US military has caused civilian casualties in the conflict with Iran. According to media reports such as The New York Times, on February 28, the day the conflict began, the US military mistakenly targeted a girls’ school during an air strike, resulting in at least 168 deaths, over 100 of whom were children. Preliminary investigations indicate that the reason for the attack was that the US military used outdated data, which misidentified buildings that had been converted into schools as military targets.
