Pakistani media reported that on August 31 local time, a self-made remote-controlled 'driverless' car in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, suddenly lost control during a technical demonstration. The car collided directly with a police vehicle parked by the roadside, and the video quickly became popular online.
The video shows a journalist sitting in the passenger seat explaining the vehicle's functions. Due to a sudden loss of control of the steering system controlled remotely by the operator, the vehicle crashed into a police car parked by the roadside.
This accident is reportedly due to a “technical failure” caused by a network interruption.
