According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, on September 2, 2026, Ma Chao Xu, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with a delegation visiting China led by John McKean, Chairman of the Board of the United States-China Trade Council. Both sides exchanged views on Sino-US relations, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural exchanges. Tan Sen, President of the United States-China Trade Council, also attended the meeting.
