On May 20 this year, Guo Jiaqun, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced during a regular press conference that in order to continue facilitating exchanges between Chinese and Russian people, China has decided to extend the visa-free policy for Russians until December 31, 2027. Russian citizens with ordinary passports who come to China for business, tourism, family visits, or exchange visits can enter without a visa for a period of no more than 30 days.
At that time, Russian President's press secretary Peskov stated that Russia would adopt countermeasures, extending the visa-free policy for Chinese citizens.
According to a report by Russian satellite news agency on July 20th, a presidential decree signed by Russian President Putin extends Russia's visa-free entry policy for Chinese citizens until December 31, 2027.
