According to a message posted on the WeChat public account 'Chinese Embassy in Serbia' on August 30, on August 29, the first robot factory in Serbia, invested and constructed by the China Enterprise Minxi Group, held its inauguration ceremony at the Shabatz plant. Serbian President Vucic attended the event, along with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mari, Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Mesarović, the temporary representative of the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, representatives from related enterprises and media.
Vukcevic visited the robot production workshop, observed the performance of robots in various application scenarios, and even acted as a football goalkeeper to interact with the shooting robot.
Xinhua reported that Vucic thanked China for its support to Serbia in his speech. He said that the Minxi Group has created nearly 5,000 jobs in Serbia, and will further expand the employment scale in the future. With Chinese support, Serbia is "becoming a pioneer in the large-scale mass production of humanoid robots in Europe."
We hope that this factory will be able to assemble and produce over 5,000 humanoid robots annually in the future. Wuchekichi said these robots could be widely applied in fields such as healthcare, agriculture, industry, and national defense.
Minxi Group and other Chinese companies' representatives thanked the Serbian government for providing a favorable investment environment. They stated that they will continue to actively expand investments in future industries such as artificial intelligence in Serbia, thereby making new contributions to deepening the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Serbia in this new era.
MinShi Sabatzi Robot Factory is also the first robot factory invested and built by Chinese enterprises in Europe. The first batch of robots to be released in 2026 will be used at the Belgrade Professional World Expo in 2027, with full production volume achieved in 2027.
