According to Reuters report on August 25th local time, Bangladesh Prime Minister's Information and Broadcasting Advisor Zahed Ur Rahman stated that Bangladesh is considering purchasing J-10CE fighter jets and attack helicopters from China, and is moving forward with formal negotiations regarding this matter. Currently, a government panel is drafting the relevant agreements.
Lakhman said that Dhaka has noticed the excellent performance of this Chinese fighter jet in conflicts in neighboring regions. Lakhman did not disclose the number of aircraft Bangladesh plans to purchase, the transaction amount, or the delivery schedule. He said that these details will be determined through negotiations.
Reports also quoted local media as stating that Bangladesh is seeking to modernize its air force and is considering purchasing up to 24 J-10CE fighter jets.

Reuters noted that this proposed procurement will be one of the largest defense acquisitions in Bangladesh in recent years, and it will deepen the country's military ties with China.
Reports say that over the past 20 years, China has provided Bangladesh with naval vessels, combat aircraft, tanks, and missile systems, becoming the country's largest supplier of military equipment.
Currently, Pakistan is the only country that has confirmed the use of the J-10CE.
Reuters reported that during the India-Pakistan air conflict last May, Pakistan claimed to have shot down several Indian fighter jets within four days, including JAS 39C Gripen fighters. It also stated that its Chinese-made weapon systems (FC-31 stealth fighter jets and J-10CE) performed exceptionally well. Since then, the J-10CE has attracted global attention.
In addition to the J-10CE, at the beginning of this year, there was a lot of news about Pakistan exporting the JF-17 “Skyguard” fighter jets.
In February this year, Pakistan stated that five countries have requested to purchase J-10 fighter jets, including Bangladesh, as well as Iraq, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Libya.
According to reports, the ‘Xiao Long’ fighter jet originated from an agreement in 1999. It is a lightweight, all-weather fighter jet, jointly produced by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex in Kamra, northwest of Islamabad, and the Chinese side.
