Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji met with King Abdullah II, exchanging in-depth views on further consolidating China-Jordan traditional friendship and deepening strategic cooperation.
This is a statement for both sides:
I. Both parties emphasized that since China and Austria established diplomatic relations in 1977, especially since their bilateral relations were elevated to the level of strategic partnerships in 2015, both countries have continuously worked together. Political trust between the two nations has been strengthened, practical cooperation has yielded tangible results, cultural exchanges have continued to develop, and multilateral cooperation has become increasingly close. These efforts serve the interests of both friendly countries and their peoples, and align with the respective positions and priorities of both parties. Both parties agreed to take the preparation for celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Austria in 2027 as an opportunity to deepen the strategic partnership between China and Austria.

Both parties believe that the digital economy is an important direction for global economic development, and they are willing to enhance cooperation in this area. Both parties emphasize the need to strengthen tourism cooperation and take practical measures to achieve this goal, including establishing direct flights between the two countries as soon as possible. Both parties also emphasize the need to open up broader prospects for cooperation in environmental protection fields between the two countries. It believes that this contributes to the comprehensive development of the region’s economy and the promotion of international economic cooperation.
VI. Both parties emphasize their willingness to maintain regular coordination on issues of common concern and to continuously strengthen political trust.
