According to the new regulations, citizens of Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan who hold ordinary passports and round-trip tickets with specified dates and itineraries can enter China without visas through 65 ports of entry in cities such as Beijing and Shanghai. They are allowed to stay within specified areas for no more than 240 hours. Citizens of both countries who hold ordinary passports can also enter China without visas through ports of entry in Hainan Province, and are allowed to stay in Hainan for no more than 30 days.

During the visa-free stay, one can engage in short-term activities such as tourism, commerce, visits, and family visits. Activities that require prior approval, such as working, studying, or conducting news interviews, still require visa application in advance.

Fan Qiuhe stated that this measure by China will facilitate exchanges and trade between the two countries, as well as promote cultural exchanges. She said that in this spirit, Vietnam and China will continue to cooperate in this direction.

The National Immigration Administration of China stated that implementing these two visa-free policies for citizens of Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan is a practical measure to steadily advance high-level opening up and promote the establishment of a community with a shared future. It helps to further enhance mutual trust and cooperation between the two sides, making tourism, trade, visits, and investments more convenient and efficient.
