According to CNN, on the evening of August 19 local time, a state police helicopter in Pennsylvania, USA, collided with a small aircraft in the air. There is currently no confirmed report of any casualties.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration stated that the accident occurred near Carlisle Airport in Pennsylvania. The aircraft involved were a Cessna 150 light aircraft and a Bell 407 helicopter. Flight tracking data indicated that the helicopter collided with the light aircraft that was circling over the airport as it approached the airport.
At the time of the incident, there were two officers on the state police helicopter, and the number of people on the small aircraft was not known. As of now, relevant departments have not released any exact information on casualties.

CNN noted that Carlisle Airport has only one runway measuring 4,000 feet in length. There is no control tower, and pilots communicate via public radio frequencies. This arrangement is common at small airports in the United States.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said on social media, "I have received reports of the plane crash in Carlisle and am on my way to the scene." The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate this incident. Usually, it takes one to two years to determine the cause of an accident.
In January last year, a passenger aircraft carrying 64 people collided with a military helicopter carrying three soldiers over the capital city of Washington D.C. in the United States. Both aircraft crashed, and no one survived. After this air crash, the United States strengthened security measures related to helicopters and passenger aircraft. The issue of safety on mixed routes between helicopters and passenger aircraft has attracted widespread attention in American society.
