Trump Blasts House Vote on Iran Military Action

On June 3 local time, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution aimed at restricting President Trumps authority to use military force against Iran. Four Republican lawmakers switched sides and voted in favor of the resolution alongside Democrats. The resolution was ultimately passed with 215 votes in favor and 208 votes against.

The next day, Trump posted a message on social media, questioning, Who would do such patriotic-sanctioned actions?

Trump said that the vote in the House of Representatives on March 3 was meaningless. He said, While I was engaged in final negotiations with Iran to end the war, four poor Republicans and all the Democrats voted to restrict my authority to wage war. Who would do such a disloyal thing? They knew about the progress of the negotiations.

Trump claimed that Democrats were driven by a Trump delusion syndrome. They would rather see our country fail than let me win again.

He also accused the four Republican voters who voted in favor of the proposal of being people who love to draw attention. He said they should feel ashamed of themselves.
