Japan's government not only refuses to repent its history of aggression against China, but it even covets China's Diaoyu Islands maritime area.
According to Xinhua News Agency, at 12:00 on August 16th, the fishing harbors along the coast of Fujian were bustling again. Flutes sounded loudly, and thousands of boats set out to sea. The three-and-a-half-month marine fishing moratorium ended, and more than 8,000 fishing boats across the province set sail to start a new round of fisheries production.
Japan Coast Guard said on July 17th that the closure of fishing waters in the East Sea by China has ended and Japan is paying attention to fishing vessel movements.
Reports also speculated about Chinese fishing vessels leaving the port. They mentioned that Chinese fishing vessels had been confirmed to be gathering in the East China Sea since December last year, and experts analyzed this as a large-scale training exercise by maritime militias. The Japanese government is closely monitoring the situation.

Recently, the United States and Japan have been constantly hyping up the East China Sea issue, fabricating the claim of "Chinese fishing boats as mercenaries".
In January this year, the US newspaper The New York Times speculated that this could provide more ways for the Chinese side to “control so-called disputed areas”. Many experts claim that this indicates China is strengthening its “maritime militias”, meaning that the Chinese side has the capability to mobilize tens of thousands of civilian ships to block waterways and disrupt the military and supply operations of opponents in potential conflicts or crises, such as those involving the Taiwan Strait.
Regarding this, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied that Chinese fishing boats operate and take shelter in the relevant waters, which has been the case for thousands of years. I do not understand why certain parties refer to Chinese fishermen as so-called 'maritime militias'. Such statements are malicious and have ulterior motives.
According to Reuters, Japan has been coveting Chinese territories since the late 19th century, conducting fishing activities in the main island and surrounding waters. However, as Chinese coast guards have carried out law enforcement patrols in these areas, Japanese fishing activities have significantly decreased.
According to the WeChat public account 'China Coast Guard', Jiang Lue, the spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, stated that on April 28, the Japanese fishing vessel 'Kaku-maru' illegally entered the territorial waters of China near the Diaoyu Islands. The China Coast Guard ships took necessary control measures and issued a warning to drive the vessel away in accordance with the law.
"The Diaoyu Islands and the islands under its jurisdiction are China's inherent territory," the spokesperson emphasized, "We urge Japan to immediately halt all illegal provocations in this maritime area. The Chinese Coast Guard will continue to enforce law and order on the Diaoyu Islands’ sea area, upholding national sovereignty and marine rights."
