According to a report by the American Fox News, U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with the media on the 17th that if Oman causes trouble in the Strait of Hormuz conflict, the United States will "slam down" Oman.
Trump said, "If Oman causes trouble, we will blow them up completely."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bagheri said on the same day that Iran and Oman are finalizing an understanding agreement regarding the Hormuz Strait.
Previously in mid-June, the United States and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding, committing to negotiate and reach a final agreement within 60 days. On the 17th of this month, the 60-day negotiation period set by the memorandum of understanding expired, drawing international attention.
