According to Reuters, on August 14 local time, police in Michigan announced on social media that a shooting incident occurred in Miffy County, Michigan. Five people were killed and one was injured in the incident. Additionally, the suspect has been confirmed dead. The victim is still receiving treatment in the hospital, and his condition is critical.
Michigan police said that after receiving a report of a shooting, they rushed to a residence at 11:40 am and found three people dead and another person injured.
The police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Chad Hickman, who fled the scene before the police arrived.
During the search for the suspect, the police found a fourth victim in another residence. Subsequently, the vehicle belonging to Hickman was found in a forest area, and the bodies of Hickman and the fifth victim were discovered.
The case is currently under investigation.
According to reports, the police have not yet announced the names, ages, and genders of the victims, and have stated that they are contacting the relatives of the victims.
