According to multiple British media reports, on the 26th of this month, 67-year-old British woman Nicks was convicted of manslaughter for abusing her stepdaughter in 1978, resulting in her death.
According to reports, in 1978, the Knicks forced a 5-year-old girl into a hot bathtub, resulting in 50% burns across her body. She died nearly six weeks later.
The death of the girl was always considered an accident. It wasnt until 2022 that the girls brother reported the incident to the police. At the time of the incident, the boy was only 7 or 9 years old. He also suffered from abuse from his stepmother, Nykes, who used cigarettes to burn him and cause other forms of harm. Nykes was therefore convicted of child abuse.
The girls brother told the jury that the reason they initially described his sisters death as an accident was to get Nicks to stop beating him.
