The Khmer Times reported on August 7th that the Prince Group, located in Khim Yuen area near the border of Cambodia and Vietnam, experienced a fatal violent incident last December. Fifteen supervisors and security personnel assaulted four Chinese nationals, resulting in one death and three serious injuries. The Cambodian courts recently made a judgment, which included 15 defendants including 1 Chinese man and 14 Cambodian nationals each sentenced to 13 years imprisonment.
On August 6th, the primary court of Khandla Province announced the judgment of the case. According to the court report, the incident occurred on December 29th, 2025, within the “Golden Fortune Company” in Senboob, Khanda Province.
According to the 'Kambodja Zhong Shibao', the crime scene, Jin Yun Park, is a closed-off park built by the Taizi Group.
The prosecutor handling this case confirmed that among the 15 defendants, LE HENENG is Chinese, while the remaining 14 are Cambodian. One of the deceased and three people suffering serious injuries in the case are also Chinese.
The case was heard in court on June 30 this year. The court questioned 15 defendants and reviewed relevant evidence as well as surveillance footage from the park.
The court reported that surveillance footage showed several defendants working together, using sticks and tubular objects to beat the victim's hands, feet, body, and head. At the same time, some people surrounded the victim to prevent him from escaping. The incident resulted in one death and three serious injuries.
The court ruled that the evidence in the case was sufficient to establish the guilt of the 15 defendants. On July 31, the Khanaat Province Court of First Instance issued a formal judgment, finding all 15 defendants guilty of ‘aggravated intentional violence committed by multiple persons’ and ‘aggravated intentional violence resulting in death of victims’. They were sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment each. The court made these judgments based on Article 218, paragraph 3, and Article 224 of the Cambodian Criminal Code.
