According to a report by the BBC on August 6, a knife attack occurred in London, the capital of the UK, on the 5th, resulting in four people being injured. British police said this was an "isolated incident related to mental health issues." The suspect has been arrested by the police, and all the injured people have received treatment.
This incident occurred near Covent Garden in central London. The suspect is a 47-year-old woman who stabbed four men, aged 34, 39, 42, and 52 respectively, with scissors.
Witnesses said that the woman randomly attacked passersby on the street. One of the victims was stabbed and ran to a nearby barbershop, where, with the help of the shop assistant, they called the police. A few minutes later, police arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect.

London police said that the woman involved was arrested for possessing an offensive weapon and causing harm to others. The incident is believed to be related to mental issues. Two of the four victims have been discharged from hospital, while two others are still receiving treatment. It is expected that their injuries will not pose a life-threatening risk or cause permanent disability.
London’s Chief Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Jason Stewart, stated: “After receiving the report, officers responded within minutes. Although the investigation is still in its early stages, we want to assure the community that we believe this is an isolated incident related to mental health issues.” He added that while collecting evidence, London police will maintain a presence in the area where the incident occurred.
