According to a report by Xinhua News Agency citing the North Korean Central News Agency on May 5, Kim Kook-jeong, a minister of the Central Committee of the Korean Workers' Party, stated in a speech that the Korean armed forces and military leadership will develop more precise military strategies based on Japan's current military activities.
Kineo said that Japan recently tested its American-made "Tomahawk" cruise missiles; in May, it conducted its first offensive missile launch outside Japan since World War II in the Philippines; and in March, it deployed the "Type 25 Surface-to-Ship Missile" and the "Type 25 High-Speed Glide Bomb" in Kumamoto Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture respectively, marking the beginning of efforts to acquire the ability to strike preemptively. Japan has also been planning to develop and introduce unmanned submarines with anti-ship attack capabilities.
Kim and Park emphasized that Japan has various long-range strike capabilities, and they have reconfigured their entire military deployment into a 'preemptive strike type, overseas invasion formation'.
Kookmin said that Japan denies and glorifies its aggressive history, creating political, military, and legal stepping stones for further aggression. Once Japan acquires the ability to strike first, humanity could once again suffer tragic consequences.
Kim and Young pointed out that Japan is using global geopolitical conflicts and rivalries to accelerate its transformation into a 'warring nation'. The international community should be vigilant and must not allow Japan to become a military power.
