On August 3rd, local time, the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a statement stating that the Boeing 737 MAX-7 model has received airworthiness certification.
Boeing responded on the same day that the first batch of deliveries is currently underway. The MAX-7 model offers 135 to 160 seats, with a range that is approximately 10% longer than other MAX series aircraft.
According to the American magazine Forbes, Boeing's stock price soared by more than 7% on that day.
Previously, due to two air disasters in Indonesia and Ethiopia in 2018 and 2019, respectively, as well as safety incidents like the ' incident in 2024, the FAA conducted a comprehensive review of the Boeing 737 MAX model for a period of 10 years.
According to Reuters, the 737 MAX-7 receiving airworthiness certification is a milestone for Boeing. The company had waited many years before being able to sell the least expensive version of its best-selling aircraft. Boeing once stated that the model would be approved around 2022.
