According to a report by the Pakistani newspaper Dawn on August 3, a police station in Khyber-Peshtun Province in northwestern Pakistan was targeted by a suicide bomber, resulting in at least 14 deaths. Security forces have sealed off the area and are conducting an investigation.
Pakistani police said the attack occurred in the Swat region of Khyber-Peshtun province. A suicide bomber detonated his explosives while being stopped by police for inspection at the entrance of a police station. At the time of the explosion, hundreds of protesters were rallying in a nearby square to protest against violent terrorist incidents that had occurred in the area recently.
The police and rescue workers confirmed that the attack has resulted in at least 14 deaths, including several police officers, and at least 18 people were injured. So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for this attack.

After the attack, the Swat region police were on high alert. Pakistani security forces have sealed off the incident area and are conducting an investigation. A police spokesman revealed that a body suspected to be that of a bomb threator has been taken to the hospital for examination.
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari's office issued a statement condemning the attack and urging relevant authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation. The statement emphasized: "The terrorists' evil attempts to undermine peace, national unity, and state authority will never succeed."
The Dawn newspaper noted that the frequency of terrorist attacks in Khyber-Peshtun province has increased recently. A report by the Pakistan Institute of Conflict and Security Studies shows that the number of deaths related to terrorism in the province in July reached 154, a 105% increase compared to June.
