According to the official 'Telegram' channel of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard, on July 30 local time, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard issued a statement claiming that in retaliation for the American attack, they launched strikes against a U.S. military base in Jordan, 'completely destroying' three F-35 fighter jets.
The statement indicates that at dawn that day, the United States used its military bases to launch an air raid with ground-penetrating bombs. The attack targeted two ordinary civilian houses on the island of Ghasr al-Baighat in Iran. As a result, three people – a father, a mother, and a child – were killed, and two children were injured.
The statement claims that in response, several ballistic missiles were fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that morning. These missiles targeted the F-35 fighter jet hangars and maintenance facilities at the U.S. Air Base in Azrak, Jordan. Three F-35 fighter jets were “completely destroyed,” and three other jets suffered “severe damage” as a result of the attack. Several American officers and technical maintenance personnel were also killed in the attack.
"Our region will never allow this brutal army to be stationed here. They are slaughtering innocent families in the dead of night. Our struggle will continue until the last American occupant is driven out of Islamic lands," the statement read.
