On the evening of July 30th, Beijing time, He Lijfeng, the Chinese lead negotiator for Sino-US economic and trade relations, held a video call with Stephen Bieber, the US lead negotiator for finance, and Trade Representative Peter Hayes. During the call, both sides engaged in candid, in-depth, and constructive discussions regarding the implementation of the important consensus reached during the meeting between the Chinese and US heads of state in Beijing. They discussed how to maintain stable economic and trade relations between China and the US in the next phase, expand practical cooperation, and properly address each other's concerns.
The Chinese side expresses serious concern over the recent economic and trade restrictions imposed by the United States against China.
