Israeli Extremist Settler Violence Skyrockets

According to reports from CCTV, internal data from the Israeli National Security Agency (Shin Bet) shows that since the beginning of this year, the number of violent attacks by Israeli extremist Jewish settlers has increased significantly.

Data shows that in the first half of 2026, extremist Jewish settlers carried out a total of 660 attacks against Palestinians. This represents a sharp increase of approximately 60% compared to 405 attacks in the second half of 2025. The data also indicates a continuous upward trend in such violent incidents over the past few years: 316 attacks were reported in the first half of 2024, and 355 attacks in the second half of that year. By the first half of 2025, the number had risen to 440 attacks. In addition to attacks against Palestinians, Jewish settlers in Israel have also attacked Israeli security forces, with the number of such incidents increasing from 30 in the second half of last year to 45 in the past six months.

According to Reuters, United Nations data shows that attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinian villages have increased sharply since the beginning of this year.

According to Palestinian data, 87 Palestinians have died on the West Bank this year, 21 of whom were killed by Israeli settlers. United Nations figures show that since the beginning of this year, about 850 Palestinians have been injured in attacks by Israeli settlers.

According to the Financial Times, the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs reported that in last year, Israeli settlers carried out over 1,800 attacks against Palestinians, resulting in casualties and property damage. In the first four months of this year, the office recorded another 761 attacks by Israeli settlers. A report published this month by the office stated that last year's attacks displaced 1,663 Palestinians, and in the first four months of 2026 alone, Israeli settler violence caused 1,988 people to become displaced.
