On July 28th local time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attended the funeral of the late US Senator Lindsey Graham in the United States. He also met with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House Oval Office. After the meeting, Zelenskyy revealed that Trump had agreed to grant Ukraine a production license for the 'Patriot' anti-aircraft system.
On the 28th, Zelenskyy told the American Fox News channel that earlier this month, during the NATO summit held in Ankara, Turkey, he discussed this issue with Trump, and further advanced it during their meeting at the White House.
"This is very important, because we need to obtain these equipment in greater quantities and more quickly," said Zelenskyy. Trump agreed to this request during their meeting at the White House.

He also revealed that he later held talks with the heads of several large American defense companies, discussing the possibility of joint production in the future. "I hope we can carry out joint production, and this is very important."
Earlier on the 28th, Zelenskyy told reporters at the U.S. Capitol that he had discussed the urgent need for air defense capabilities in Ukraine with Trump and U.S. senators.
