Currently, relations between Japan and China have deteriorated significantly, but it is necessary to improve these relations through persistent dialogue. When talking about the current situation of the LDP, Iwata said, "In the past, there was thorough and intense discussion within the party regarding important issues. People exchanged opinions and debated without any hesitation, helping to guide the party in the right direction. This has earned them trust. If the LDP continues to exist as a party that only aligns with the right side and no longer dares to express opinions, it might lead the country in the wrong direction. To enable the party to correctly judge and handle various issues, I will continue to ensure that what should be said is said clearly."
