According to a report on the Ministry of Commerce website on the 24th, the Ministry announced that it has listed 14 EU entities on the export control list, including the University of Wroclaw in Poland. A journalist from the Polish news agency asked at the meeting whether this was politicizing academic and economic-technical exchanges.
Regarding specific issues related to export controls, it is recommended that you seek further information from the relevant department in the PRC. Lin Jian emphasized that the measures taken by the PRC are targeting the incorrect practices of Chinese enterprises under the EU's unilateral sanctions, and not targeted at specific countries.
The Ministry of Commerce responded in a press briefing on the 24th, stating that on the evening of July 23rd Beijing time, the European side officially announced the 21st round of sanctions against Russia, listing 14 Chinese mainland and Hong Kong enterprises under sanctions. In order to safeguard national security and interests, and to fulfill international obligations such as countering proliferation, in response to the aforementioned actions by the European side, China has decided, in accordance with laws and regulations such as the 'Export Control Law of the People's Republic of China' and the 'Regulations on the Export Control of Dual-Use Items of the People's Republic of China', to list 14 EU entities including the Lafart Group on the export control list. Export operators are prohibited from exporting dual-use items to these entities, and foreign organizations and individuals are prohibited from transferring or providing dual-use items originating from the People's Republic of China to these entities.
