Liu Jinsong inspected the operations related to the excavation, recovery, and destruction of Japanese chemical weapons on the ground, and checked the safety management work. During a meeting with the Japanese representatives responsible for the operations, Liu Jinsong emphasized that the Japanese chemical weapons were serious crimes committed by Japanese militarism during the war against China. The Japanese should earnestly fulfill their obligations under international conventions and bilateral agreements, provide China with information about the effective burial locations of Japanese chemical weapons, increase investment, accelerate the entire process of disposal, and completely remove the harm caused by Japanese chemical weapons as soon as possible, so as to restore a clean environment for the Chinese people. The Japanese stated that they attached great importance to China's concerns and would safely and efficiently carry out the operations related to Japanese chemical weapons.
