Russia Condemns Ukrainian Attack on Caspian Ships, Raising Tensions

According to Russian News Agency reports, Russian President's press secretary Peskov said on the 27th that Ukraine's attack on Caspian ships is 'extremely dangerous', marking 'another round of escalating tensions'.

Peksov said that the Russian side has noticed the trend of an expanding geographical scope of the conflict, and therefore it is necessary to continue to fight against the Ukrainian regime.

On the 25th, the Ukrainian military attacked an Iranian merchant ship in the Caspian Sea. The Iranian side strongly condemned this action and summoned the temporary ambassador of Ukraine to Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Alaaghi has stated that the actions of Ukraine are a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter. These actions are carried out under the influence of Israel, with the aim of dragging Europe into war.

Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Serbiga claimed that Iran is Russia's "direct accomplice" in military actions against Ukraine, and does not qualify to "act as a victim."

As relations between Ukraine and Russia intensify, there is widespread concern that the US-Iran conflict could further influence the Russia-Ukraine situation.
