The staff member was an external person hired by our company to carry out work, and not an official employee of our company.
The statement also states that our company has no policies or practices that involve discrimination against individuals based on race or nationality.
According to @LitchiNews, on July 25th, at the GMMTV book exhibition event in Sanyo Mall in Bangkok, Thailand, a Chinese female fan was violently treated by the staff present. According to statements made by the woman on social media and accounts of other netizens, the girl arrived at the scene around 6 a.m. that day. She occupied a spot in line using an umbrella and with the help of a friend. Just as the event was about to begin, a Thai fan nearby reported her to the staff for “jumping the line”. The woman claimed to have complete proof of her queuing position and photos, but the staff did not verify these claims before demanding that she leave the scene and hand over any items she had with her.
Online videos and statements from the parties involved show that several GMM staff members forcibly removed the girl, engaging in actions such as grabbing her phones, pressing her neck, pulling her hair, and dragging her to the ground. The girl’s clothing was torn loose, and her bracelet broke. Throughout the incident, multiple people surrounded them. The party involved said they went to the local police station to give statements and planned to contact the Chinese embassy in Thailand for help.
