On May 25th, NVIDIAs founder and CEO, Jensen Huang, spoke with Singapores Asian News Channel. During the interview, he discussed the details of his visit to China alongside U.S. President Trump.
Huang Renxun recalled that that morning, Trump called me. He didnt know that I wasnt going to go at first. But he insisted that I board the plane with him. So I rushed to get ready. He called me while we were about to leave. He thought I was in Washington D.C., and that I could board Air Force One directly. But actually, I was on the West Coast of the United States. So he told me to meet him up in Alaska. So I flew to Alaska, boarded Air Force One, and went to China.
According to American media reports, before Trumps visit to China, the White House announced a list of 16 CEOs who would accompany him. This group included Tim Cook from Apple, Larry Page from Blackstone, and other business leaders who sought to reach agreements with China. Jensen Huang was not among them.
Sources close to the matter revealed that after seeing reports indicating that Jensen was not invited, Trump personally called Jensen before departing. He extended an invitation to Jensen.
