Thai PM Anutin Meets with Chinese Defense Minister on Strategic Cooperation

According to the Ministry of National Defense website, on July 24th, Thai Prime Minister Anuin met with Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun in Bangkok.

Anuting said that I have just completed a successful visit to China. Both Thailand and China have reached many agreements on strengthening exchanges and cooperation in various fields and jointly promoting the construction of a Thai-China community with a shared future. Thailand firmly adheres to the one-China policy and will not change it due to external pressures. Thailand-China defense cooperation is an important part of the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership. We are willing to work with China to make good use of the “2+2” strategic dialogue mechanism between foreign ministers and defense ministers, deepen strategic cooperation and mutual trust, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two militaries in various fields.

Dong Jun said that the people of China and Thailand have had a long history of interaction and friendship, with their cooperation remaining strong over time. The relationship between China and Thailand is stepping into the next golden decade. China always views Thailand as a reliable partner in maintaining regional prosperity and stability. We are willing to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders, promote the deepening of military cooperation between the two countries, and carry out high-level cooperation based on solid mutual trust, deep cooperation content, and greater strategic understanding. This will provide greater support for building a more stable, prosperous, and sustainable China-Thailand community of shared future, and make greater contributions to maintaining long-term peace and stability in the region.
