According to Reuters reporting on July 21st local time, Gaza health officials stated that an air strike launched by Israel on Tuesday resulted in the death of a couple and their four children in Gaza City. At the same time, their home was destroyed by fire.
Medical personnel said that the Israeli attack resulted in the death of Ferras Masri, his wife Salessa Bir, their three daughters, and one son.
The Israeli military confirmed the raid, stating that its target was a Hamas militant. The outcome of the attack is still being investigated.
Masri’s father said that they were sleeping at the time of the explosion, and he is grieving over losing his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
"We failed to rescue the grandchildren and children from the flames and ruins. About five or six people lost their lives, most of whom were children and women. There was no compassion, nor any prior warning."
According to CCTV news reports, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement condemning the Israeli air strikes that resulted in the death of six people. It accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement and continuing to commit 'genocide' against innocent civilians. Hamas called on Arab and Islamic nations to take action to stop the killings in the Gaza Strip and urged the international community to hold war criminals accountable.
According to data released by the Gaza Strip's health department on the 21st, since the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza took effect in October 2025, Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip have resulted in 1,168 deaths and 3,798 injuries.
