The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran told the Fars News Agency that drones attacked important facilities of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. The military operations will continue “until the enemy no longer has the courage to carry out attacks against our country.”
The United States Navy's Fifth Fleet, as one of the six major fleets of the U.S. Navy, is the most powerful maritime force of the U.S. stationed in the Middle East. Its jurisdiction covers the Indian Ocean region from the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, and the Arabian Sea, extending to Kenya in East Africa. The headquarters of the fleet is located in Bahrain.
On the 21st, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also issued several statements. The Revolutionary Guard stated that in Kuwait, their forces attacked American radar, communication, satellite, and missile defense facilities at the Ahmad Jamal Air Force Base and Ali Salim Air Force Base.
