No Phone Call Between Putin and Trump on July 8th

According to a report by the Russian Satellite News Agency on the 9th, Russian President's Press Secretary Peskov told reporters that Russian President Putin and U.S. President Trump did not have a phone call on July 8.

Peskov said: "Mr. Trump was obviously very busy after his intensive meeting in Ankara yesterday, so nobody called him."

Earlier on the 8th, Trump asked reporters if there were any questions he wanted to ask Putin, as he was scheduled to have talks with Putin later that day.

He said that his relationship with Putin is still ‘very good’.

The two people only had a 85-minute conversation last week. Putin reiterated his preference for resolving the Ukraine issue through political and diplomatic means, while emphasizing the need to take into account Russia's principled position.
