According to reports, at approximately 10:32 am that day, a fire broke out in the 6th production area of SK Hynix Cheongju plant. The automatic sprinkler system was activated immediately after the fire started, and the flames were brought under control in time. However, a leak of fluorine gas, which is harmful to humans, occurred at a level of 5 ppm. Seven people were rushed to hospitals for examination.
