According to Yonhap News, on June 1st local time, a fire broke out at SK Hynixs factory in Cheongju, South Korea. Toxic gases were released, resulting in seven people being taken to hospitals for examination. All personnel inside the factory were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
According to reports, at approximately 10:32 am that day, a fire broke out in the 6th production area of SK Hynix Cheongju plant. The automatic sprinkler system was activated immediately after the fire started, and the flames were brought under control in time. However, a leak of fluorine gas, which is harmful to humans, occurred at a level of 5 ppm. Seven people were rushed to hospitals for examination.
