Meanwhile, Qatar condemned Iran's renewed attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait, and reaffirmed its strong support for Bahrain and Kuwait, supporting all measures taken by the two countries to maintain their sovereignty and security.
On the 8th local time, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued a statement stating that the US military launched an air strike early in the morning on coastal areas of Hormozgan province in Iran, as well as some coastal bases and non-military facilities in Machshel, violating the ceasefire agreement and the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran stated that as a preliminary response to this attack, the naval and aerospace units of the IRGC carried out joint missile and drone operations. They targeted 85 important U.S. military facilities located in Salman Port, the Bahrain headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, and the Al-Arabi Saleem Air Base in Kuwait. Additionally, one MQ-9 drone that attempted to intervene was shot down.
