According to Anadolu News Agency and Reuters reports, on July 6 local time, U.S. President Trump claimed that resolving the Russia-Untreated conflict will be 'much faster than people think.'
Trump said that he believes Russian President Putin "has indeed felt pressure."
Trump expressed confidence in diplomatic efforts, stating that he believes resolving the conflict “will be much faster than people think”.
He emphasized, “Putin hopes to end the conflict. I can tell you that with absolute certainty. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy actually wants to end this conflict now.”
He also said that the issue of Ukraine will be a key topic during this week's NATO summit. "We will go to NATO and discuss this issue. I believe we can succeed and bring an end to the conflict."
On July 4th, Independence Day, Zelensky and Putin both had phone calls with Trump. Trump plans to meet with Zelensky on the 8th. A senior U.S. official said that it is expected that Trump will communicate with Putin again after this meeting.
